the prof.fuzz 63

lo-fi rock* from a north dallas garage [*think "white light/white heat"]

Released 15 May 2020

“Nadine Codeine” is the first video/single from The Prof.Fuzz 63’s new album “Owls” on Sister Raygun Records. Perfectly capturing the loopy drug haze garage rock sound of the song, video director Nick Brown creates a lo-fi digital psychedelic style like a visual mash-up of Roger Corman’s 1967 counterculture drug movie The Trip and Disney’s 8-bit sci-fi classic Tron. While staying true to The Prof.Fuzz 63’s lo-fi garage rock roots, “Nadine Codeine’s” hypnotic melody line and quiet vocal refrains (“she speaks,” “she laughs”) result in the band’s catchiest, dare I say, college radio friendly song to date. Sounds like listening to the Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning” through a Radio Shack tape recorder after drinking a bottle of cherry Robitussin.
