We’ve spent a lot of time on FB during plague times livestreaming our music to friends, family, and fans across the world. Now, it seems, that The Zuck isn’t happy with his cash cow providing artists with a platform to share music, and with a change to the user agreement on Oct 1, he’s threatening to block videos and delete band accounts for “creating a listening experience.” Well, Fuck Zuck.
UPDATE: FB issued a “clarification” of the new user terms yesterday (12 Sept 2020) and said “Music in stories and traditional live music performances (e.g., filming an artist or band performing live) are permitted.” Regardless, we’re still on TWITCH!
We’ve opened an account on Twitch and will be test streaming there in hopes of moving our livestreams there for good.
